ActivOzone Ozone Oil 400 IP contains ozonized vegetable oils of olive and sunflower.

Nowadays, the stability and effectiveness of ozonized oils is already more than postulated and demonstrated, with several products claiming to be ozonized available on the market, but little is known about the differentiating characteristics of these products so that they can be characterized themselves as therapeutic.

From the point of view of industrial production, the overall quality of ozone oils depends on several parameters, such as:

• The type and power of ozone generators (medical and domestic generators are not suitable for therapeutic ozone oil).
• Ozonation conditions: contact form, circuit pressure, temperature, etc.
• Oxygen purity: the use of “atmospheric air” for ozone production promotes the production of toxic nitrogen derivatives and significantly decreases ozone efficiency.
• Monitoring of the physicochemical properties of oils during the ozonation process.

The fact is that the term “ozonized” by itself has no scientific weight unless it is clarified how much of this product is peroxides present in the oil (IP levels).

The specifications on ozone oils are defined by the International Scientific Committee on Ozone Therapy (ISCO3) in the second edition of the Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy. In this document, ozone oils are divided into 3 IP levels: low, medium and high.

Considering the growing offer on the market of ozonized products, it is essential to differentiate them and ensure that the treatment is carried out with oils of extraordinary quality and analyzed in reference laboratories, thus offering a differentiated product of quality and safety, which can be truly effective in clinical practice.
